Michael Ray O'Rourke

On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, Michael Ray O'Rourke passed away peacefully at the age of 63 in Ft. Worth, TX. 

Mike was born on June 16, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan where his love of cars and engines began. After high school Mike served in the 820th Civil Engineer Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. After the Air Force he made a career from one of his many talents and passions, fixing cars. He was a master mechanic who was respected and admired by his colleagues. Mike touched the lives of countless people with his generosity, kindness and sense of humor. He was always ready to lend a hand, a shoulder to lean on, or a smile. to brighten someone's day. Mike was the friend who always helped whenever he was called on, the son that always called his mother and the brother who was also a friend.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray O'Rourke. He is survived by his mother, Neva Jean Jones, sister, Sharon Oltersdorf (Matt), nephew, Max Oltersdorf, niece, Katelyn Perry (Richard) and grandnephews, Charles and Oliver Perry. As well as many friends we lovingly call his Texas family. And of course his dog, Riley.
