Mildred "Jackie" Weeks

Nov 2, 1927 — Oct 25, 2026

Mildred “Jackie” Weeks, 98, of Crowley, Texas, passed away on October 25, 2026. She was born on November 2, 1927, in Dallas, Texas.

Jackie lived a long life filled with family, faith, and a sense of humor that kept those around her smiling. She and her sisters were known for their practical jokes and always found ways to keep life interesting. Her adventurous spirit showed early when she tried to join the roller derby as a teenager—a favorite story her family will continue to treasure. She also enjoyed driving her Lexus convertible and, most of all, spoiling her grandchildren.

Jackie graduated from high school and worked for Tandy Corporation and the Tarrant County Baptist Association. A Christian, she attended Southcliff Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, gathering with family, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.

Jackie shared 61 years of marriage with Robert Weeks before his passing. She later married William Collins, with whom she shared 12 years of marriage.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Weeks; and her sisters, Nelle Pope and Dorothy French.

She is survived by her husband, William Collins; daughter, Gay Angel; son, Allen Weeks and his wife, Gail; grandson, Ben Weeks; and granddaughter, Rachel Weeks.

Jackie will be lovingly remembered for her playful spirit, the laughter she shared with her sisters, and the love she gave her family. The stories and memories she leaves behind will remain treasured by those who knew and loved her.

Isaiah 40:31 "Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run & not grow weary, they will walk & not faint.
