Robert (Bob) Foster, 82, passed away peacefully on November 13th, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Robert was born on March 13, 1941, in Detroit, MI. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1961-1968. He had several tours in Vietnam and was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Robert married Toyo Chinen on October 15, 1965, in Okinawa, Japan. He graduated from the University of Central Florida and started his career as a contract negotiator at Planning Research Corp (PRC) in Merritt Island, Florida. He moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1985 to continue his career with Lockheed Martin & Raytheon Corp. He later volunteered for the Community Hospice of Texas prior to retirement.
Robert was preceded in death by his father Norman Foster, mother Anna Goodman, stepmother Katherine Foster, stepfather Will Goodman and brother Norman (Butch) Foster Jr.
Robert is survived by his wife Toyo, daughter Sharon (Ed) Nisbett, son Charles (Stephanie) Foster, sister Norma (John) Campbell, sister Barbara Lizut, sister Kathy (Greg) Auner, brother Paul Goodman, sister Francis Lafever, sister Donna (Bill) Morris, brother John (Susan) Foster, brother Jim (Melony) Foster, sister in law Lynne Foster, granddaughter Cara Rogerson, grandson Drew Foster and many nieces and nephews.
He will receive Marine Corp honors and will be interned at the DFW National Cemetery at a future date to be announced.
