Robert Carlin Lee passed away during the evening of June 7th, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas ending a life well-spent of 96 years as a devoted son, a loving father, a successful businessman, a man respectful and appreciative of the world around him.

Bob Lee was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 5, 1926 during the 'coldest winter on record' to Herbert Carlin Lee and Alma Theresa Pearson Lee. Growing up in Houston, Texas during the Great Depression, Bob worked as a paper boy, nights at the Houston Shipyard, graduated from high school, and joined the Marine Corps in time for the end of the war. Following his service, he married Jacqueline Rae Jones of Houston, had three sons; Robert Carlin Lee Jr., John Michael Sun, and Mark Alan Lee. He was later blessed with six grandchildren; Amie Kane-Lee, Emily Kane-Lee, Ryland J K Lee, Niya Lee, Kalin Lee and Skyler Sun, all successful adults spread across America as well as one in Japan.

Bob received his degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston, later passing the Texas Bar, and graduating in 1956 from the University of Houston Law School, all at night while working full time during the day, being a husband and a parent of 3 boys.

Bob had a 31 year career at what was then called Armco Steel Corporation, beginning as a secretary and retiring as President of Bellefonte Insurance, a wholly owned reinsurance company subsidiary of Armco Steel.
After retirement, business opportunities presented themselves and Bob became President of Petrosurance Casualty Company, a predominantly workers compensation insurance company located in Arlington, Texas before retiring in 2002.

Bob loved to travel whether on the train as a young Marine recruit, a young father family car-tent camping before it was glam, or as a corporate entrepreneur traveling the world developing new business. He would later say: '... been there, done that...' and most of it was true.

An avid golfer, an experienced skier and ocean sailor, Bob enjoyed sharing his experiences with others beginning as his church's successful boys 12-and-under football and basketball coach, a vocal admirer and promoter of his wife's, Becky Lee, golfing achievements, skiing with his sons and business associates from Colorado to the Swiss Alps, and sailing with family and friends along the Gulf Coast and Mexico.

Bob had a complete and fortunate life, as he would say.
