Roland Earl Gastine II

Celebration of Life: hosted by the Family for everyone who would like to attend, as well as his burial at DFW National Cemetery at a later date.

Roland was born Friday, November 28th, 1941, in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He relocated to Texas where he graduated Class of ‘59 from Northside High School in San Antonio, Texas. Soon thereafter he was enlisted in the Airforce where he proudly served the Country he so loved. Truly a Patriot to the end. Later he settled in H.E.B where he successfully owned and operated Acme Lock & Key for over 40 years along with many other business ventures. Roland had been battling numerous health issues for several years, breaking
all odds more than once. He will be deeply missed, loved by his family and close friends often referred to as family. He had a bold and powerful impact on many lives and will live on through those touched by him. We want to thank Dr. Subramanian for her aggressive but sensitive approach in treating Roland. She truly found the source of his conditions and has a beautiful spirit. We also want to express our deepest gratitude for Lashonda, his Telenurse from the VA and Tammy his Nurse Practitioner from his Dialysis Center, Ameritech Kidney Center in Bedford, Texas. This Center was a keystone to his health and to the entire staff of doctors, nurses, techs, administration, down to the other patients that became daily aspects and friends to our family. Roland, “Grandpa”, “Daddy”, “Pops” will be missed immensely. We as his family and caregivers have been blessed beyond measure to have the honor in caring for him,
but most importantly sharing the love and relationships we built. God Bless you Daddy and may you rejoice in The Heavens. See you soon. A special thank you to Brown Owens and Brumley for their compassionate and outstanding service they provide for the loss of a loved one. Chris, Lee and the entire staff went above and beyond throughout the entire process.
He was preceded in death by Roland J. Gastine (Father), Lila Gastine (Mother), Starlyn Gastine (Wife 24 years), and Sandi Gastine (Wife 17 years).
