Scottie Ray “Scratch” Whitehead

AZLE-Scottie Ray “Scratch” Whitehead passed away Monday, February 17, 2020 at the age of 51.
Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at New Hope Baptist Church, 782 New Hope Road, Boyd, Texas.
Memorials: There will be a box for cards and or donations at the service. Flowers will only be accepted between 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the church.
Scottie was born March 9, 1968 to the late John Clifton and Reba Joyce Whitehead in Decatur, Texas. He graduated from Decatur High School. He was a long time employee of Wise Ready-Mix Concrete in Bridgeport. He enjoyed camping, riding his UTV side by side on the trails, drag racing and loved the outdoors. He was a character who loved to cut up and would be the first to instigate pranks. Most of all, Scratch was a really good man with a huge heart. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors: Wife of 18 years, Diana Whitehead; son, Barry Whitehead and wife, Brittany; daughter, Brittany Arquette and husband, Alex; son, Christopher Harris and wife, Nancy Hernandez; daughter, Josie Bryant; granddaughters, Koraline Robinson, Daisie Waller, and Jordyn Whitehead; grandsons, Liam Arquette, Tucker Arquette, and Johnathan Whitehead; brother, Tim Whitehead and wife, Sheri Abel; sister, Cindy Whitehead; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
