Sharon Lynn Barton

Sharon Barton, a woman of unwavering faith and boundless love, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on her 74th birthday, March 30, 2025, at her home in Joshua, Texas, surrounded by the warmth of her family and friends.

Born on March 30, 1951, Sharon lived a life dedicated to service and devotion. She shared 35 years of cherished marriage with Jim Barton, who preceded her in death, along with her beloved parents. Sharon's legacy lives on through her children, Summer, Chans, and Brandon; her 21 grandchildren; and her 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, La Donna, and her brother, John, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and a multitude of dear friends.

 A long-time and cherished member of Open Door Church in Burleson, Sharon's heart was deeply rooted in ministry. She poured her passion into women's ministry, touching countless lives with her compassion and wisdom. Her interests extended to the simple joys of life, including gardening, music, singing, and playing the guitar. Above all, she found her greatest fulfillment in serving others. Sharon's gentle spirit, her unwavering faith, and her loving presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Open Door Church in Burleson, Texas, to honor her memory and the beautiful life she lived. Grave side service to be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
