Victoria Vatter Auten

August 18, 1953 — February 29, 2024

Victoria Vatter Auten, age 70
August 18, 1953 - February 29, 2024

Victoria was the second child of five, born in Pompano Beach, Florida to Patricia and Robert Vatter (both deceased). She spent her childhood in Columbus, Ohio, and settled in Texas in the 70's. She had an infectious laugh, which I am sure ya'll can still hear. Viki loved being surrounded by her friends and family, whom she loved unconditionally. She made sure to always have fun (or bring the fun!), yet she was a no-nonsense, hard working woman. She would often say; "Put your big girl panties on, and deal with it!"

Viki recently retired from Cotton Schmidt Law Firm where she was sorely missed, and in her youth Viki was a cornerstone at Katie Lynn's on the West Side of Fort Worth. Victoria enjoyed her work, but lived for making everyone's days brighter. She loved hosting Friday happy hours & luncheons with her grandbabies, making elaborate cakes for special events, bringing magic and joy to holidays - especially Halloween & Christmas. She had planned to resume traveling again, always looking for an adventure.

Victoria is survived by her siblings: Deborah Vatter Quick (Thomas), Hans Vatter, Kurt Vatter, and Charles Armstrong. Nephew: Gentry Lukas Vatter. Niece: Stacey Meckes. Grandnieces: Sonja and Lyanna. She hails from a family of 50 first cousins.

Victoria married Jack Russel Vincent (deceased) of Weatherford Texas in 1979, and his 3 children: Shella Rush (Corey), Amy Vincent (deceased), and Lori Mann (R. Christian.) Grandchildren: Katherine Manning, Seven Almazan, Stormie Rush, Sydnee Rush, Sebastian Adrian, Rachel Huffer, Ashley Killam, Brenda Mann, and their significant others. She was blessed with 14 great-grandchildren, along with many beloved in-laws.

In 1994, Victoria married Bob Auten (deceased 2023) of Oklahoma, and his 3 children: Opie Auten, Ben Auten (Tina), and Holly Keesy (John Paul.) Grandchildren: Collin Auten, Jena-Claire Kennedy, Carder Auten, Kaitlyn Moody, Taryn Auten (deceased), Bethany Whyte-Sweet, Creighton Auten, Kelby Keesy, Alex Keesy, Martha Elyse Keesy, and their significant others. She was blessed with 7 great grandchildren, and many beloved family members including daughter-in-law Lorna. They would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this year.

Victoria left this earthly world on leap day, of all days, so as not to weigh heavy on us annually. Viki embodied the gift of Love and Forgiveness: Take her gift and pass it on, as she would want you to do.
