WATAUGA-Wanda Chestine Vester, 82, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at a local hospice in Fort Worth, Texas.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Friday, March 5, 2021 at Brown, Owens, and Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel. Please adhere to strict social distancing with the immediate family.

MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that friends and loved ones take the time to offer a helping hand to someone in need, in Chestine’s memory. For those wishing to donate in her memory, any charitable donation to her memory is appreciated.

Chestine was born Sunday, November 20, 1938, to William Chester and Stella Lee Hefner Moore in Amarillo, Texas.

Chestine started life in Amarillo, TX, where she met John Charles Vester (Willie), the love of her life. They married young and had a long 64-year marriage full of family, friends, and traveling the world.

She was a dedicated full-time mother who loved vacations up in the cool mountains, camping, playing bridge, and enjoying meals with friends and family.

After her children were grown, she started her Real Estate career in 1980 and retired in 2016 as a Relocation Specialist. She adored her work and the faithful friendships she gained.

She was called “Mom” by her children’s friends because she was always there and “never missed a game.” Her beautiful smile, contagious laugh, and loving heart was felt by all, extending all the way to the grandchildren and great-grandchildren she loved and adored so much.

Chestine is preceded in death by a son, Gary Lee Vester; her parents; brother, Jimmie Campbell; and sister, Irene Bannister.

SURVIVORS:
Chestine is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Charles Vester; daughter Gay Lynn Vester; daughter, Lisa Trojacek (husband Leon); son, Ken Vester; grandson, Austin Vester; grandson, Kyle Trojacek (wife Kylee); grandson, Drew Trojacek; grandson, Mark Heath (wife Devin); grandson, Sam Vester; great-grandson, Kaelum Vester; great-granddaughter, Kaylee Vester; great-grandson, Coyt Trojacek; great-grandson, Hayes Trojacek; great-granddaughter, Henslee Trojacek; brother, Ronnie Moore (wife Lynda); and multiple nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
