William Alvin Myers

William Alvin Myers passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the age of 85.

Graveside service was held Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Aledo Cemetery.

William was born June 26,1938 to the late George and Thelma Myers in Yuma, Arizona.  

He attended and graduated from Yuma Union High School.  He then attended USMA West Point where he earned his B.S. Engineering degree.  After that he received his M.B.A. from Northwestern University.  William proudly served his country by enlisting in US Military Academy and US Air Force.  His career included him working for the Container Corporation of America, Alcon Laboratories and Principal Business Services. William was a very strong Christian who walked with the Lord daily in his life.

One of the fondest  memories was when his granddaughter made him mud pies; he would put a little of the mud around his mouth to really sell her on the idea that he really ate them.   

He loved golfing, his wife, people he would stop to talk to and especially loved his family.  William was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed.

William is preceded in death by his parents; brother, George Myers; and daughter, Carolyn  Myers.

Survivors:  Wife of 63 years, Katherine Myers;  son, William Myers, Jr. and wife, Michelle; son, David Myers; son, Adam Myers; daughter, Bethany Olinger and husband, James; son, Jason Myers wife, Warima; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous friends.
