Monte was born and raised in Fort Worth. The son of the late Joe B. Brown and Alma Woodell, he grew up with his dad being a funeral director/embalmer/ambulance driver with his parents buying Meissner Funeral Home near Texas Wesleyan University in 1974 and creating Meissner Brown Funeral Home & Ambulance Services. Monte graduated from Arlington Heights High School, Texas Wesleyan University with a B.B.A., Tarrant County Junior College EMT/Paramedic Program. He also graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Services. He is past President of North Texas Funeral Director’s Association and past board member of the Texas Funeral Directors Association. Monte enjoys spending time with his family and church. His son who has played hockey for years, daughter who has her horse, Denver who has barrel raced for years. Monte is a past church drummer, who currently with his wife, Chris are involved with the hospitality staff at their church.
