Steven Martin Stroud

FORT WORTH–Steven Martin Stroud passed away unexpectedly from complications of right-side heart failure at the age of 42 on Friday May 4, 2018 in Fort Worth.
Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2018 at Brown Owens & Brumley’s Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel. An informal gathering will be held at Joe T. Garcia’s  following the service.
Steven was born in Fort Worth, TX on January 27, 1976 to Luther and Patricia (Whittle) Stroud. While growing up, Steven was active in Boy Scouts and earned his Eagle Scout certification in 1992. In 1997, Steven became certified as an automotive technician through Tarrant County Junior College’s ASSET program and went on to become a very accomplished automotive technician. In 2004, Steve joined the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and received several Commendations and Awards for his service during Katrina. Steven was married to Laura Lynn Ewers on November 18, 2013 at their home in Fort Worth where they continue to live until his passing.
Survivors: Steven leaves behind his wife Lynn; step-daughter Mattie McCraw; mother, Pat Stroud; father, Luther Stroud and wife, Louise; and countless long-time friends.

    My heart is broken for sure. I loved steven. We were First cousins, my only first cousin, but he told people in school i was his Brother. I felt more like his Brother for sure and friends. He was an amazing person with many skills and a great sense of humor. I will miss him dearly and my heart goes out to Lynn, Mattie and My AUNT pAT. i AM SURE THERE IS A HOLE THAT WILL NOT BE FILLED. lOVE YOU GUYS.
